Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this Matera hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, despite being nice with a view of Sasso Caveoso, were somewhat disappointing due to the lack of amenities and high price. The location, although stunning and convenient for sightseeing, had its drawbacks like no onsite parking. The service provided some help but lacked a welcoming feel. The dining options were limited, and the facilities were basic.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were musty and not nice, but surprisingly big and comfortable, equipped with a dehumidifier and an air conditioning unit. Unfortunately, the man at the front desk during check-out was extremely rude, and the breakfast was a letdown with the lack of aircon and hot food. However, the hotel is well-located near fascinating attractions and fantastic restaurants.
I absolutely loved staying in a cave - it was such a unique experience! The exposed stone walls added a special touch to the room. However, maneuvering a large suitcase through the narrow staircase was quite a challenge. The low ceiling gave it a cozy loft vibe.
